I long ago accepted the fact that they would be better than me at climbing trees and eating bananas, peel and all, but it looks like I now need to concede ice skating as well. Who would have thought that the word "graceful" would be appropriately applied to a chimpanzee?
Ravenchase Paris did something particularly fun this past Saturday; we created a game for the next generation of treasure hunter and their parents! It was great to see how deeply the kids got into the game. The difference in the level of excitement between a six year old and a thirty-six year old finding a treasure chest is a matter of orders of magnitude. Here's the moment of discovery:
The only hitch was that these little geniuses (and their parents) solved the clues much quicker than expected. Next time I'll give them something deeper to chew on. Here's more pictures from the afternoon:

Now I know that I haven't been taking the time to post a lot here, but this only takes a second and is really amazing. It's a camera inside an operating combustion chamber. Unfortunately it's missing the full exhaust stroke but you can see everything else, the valves, the plug, the fuel/air mixture, the piston, it's all there! It's not something that I would have expected to see, suffice it to say, it's ridiculously awesome. Apparently it was taken with a high-temp resistant camera at 1000 frames per second (normal TV speed is 30 frames/second):
